It’s no secret that John Elliott’s effect is being felt throughout the menswear scene. Just this week, the LA-based designer was nominated for the prestigious CFDA Swarovski Award for Menswear (friendly reminder: we got him first), which is a good indication that this year may top last year, which was pretty damn good. Now Elliott has partnered with the prestigious retailers Bergdorf Goodman in New York and United Arrows & Sons in Japan on a capsule collection, to be sold exclusively at the stores.
“These are doors we’re honored and inspired to be a part of, not only from their product offerings but the way they are merchandised,” Elliott said of the collaboration. “The idea was to tell a more mature story within the design of the capsule to produce a collection that would work in both stores.” The seven piece collection consists of three styles—a blazer-like jacket, slim sweatpant, and t-shirt—which take Elliott’s signature aesthetic and give it an elevated feel. The collection is available exclusively in-store and will be available starting on March 19th.
Here, Elliott gives us a first look at the collection. Game on, fellas.
