Prince George and Princess Charlotte attended their very first Christmas church service today—and oh my goodness, did they look adorable. Kate Middleton and Prince William took their royal offspring to mass at St Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berkshire, along with the rest of the Middletons, instead of joining the royal family at Sandringham as they have in years past. Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh, unfortunately, had to sit out the service due to heavy colds (although they’ll be partaking in the rest of the day’s festivities).
What is immediately apparent from the excursion’s pictures is that the royal family is just so darn coordinated. They actually look like a Christmas card come to life: Princess Charlotte teamed up with her mama in mulberry (Kate’s wearing a Hobbs fur-collar coat that she first wore in 2013, according to WWD), and Prince George and his dad stepped out looking dapper in classic smoky grays.
Princess Charlotte matched her mom in cranberry tights, a red barrette, and what looks like a burgundy dress—plus a candy cane to complete her look/snack on.
Prince George wore a double-breasted long coat with the traditional British short trousers, adorable knee socks, and loafers….
…and, not to be outdone, a candy cane as well.
Merry Christmas to the royal family.
