Nickelodeon Nostalgia Alert: The Nick Box No. 2 Is Here and You Can Finally Have Your Own Shrine of the Silver Monkey

If  you’ve always wanted your own Silver Monkey piece from Legends of the Hidden Temple, well, you’re in luck. Nickeldeon’s Nick Box No. 2 is just around the corner and it’s filled to the brim with items that will make nostalgia-loving hearts everywhere soar.

This edition of The Nick Box will feature a Clarissa Explains It All notebook and sticker set (Hey! Cool!), a Double Dare tissue box to recreate your favorite physical challenge obstacle, the boogery nose, an Adventures of Pete & Pete flannel hat, the aforementioned Silver Monkey from Legends and more. The second box from the subscription service retails for $50 and will be released just in time for the holidays around Monday, Dec. 19.

The first Nick Box dropped this summer and included items from Nickelodeon’s fan-favorite animated shows. There was a Cynthia doll like Angelica’s on Rugrats, a Reptar from Rugrats, a plush of Spunky from Rocko’s Modern Life, a Chuckie t-shirt from Rugrats, greeting cards, patches, a CatDog USB drive, Rugrats coasters and a Stimpy mug from Ren & Stimpy.

Nostalgia is high for Nickelodeon shows of yore. The network recently brought back Legends of the Hidden Temple as a scripted TV movie, aired a 30th anniversary special for Double Dare and is at work on movies for both Hey Arnold! and Rocko’s Modern Life.

“Following our news about Hey Arnold! and Legends of the Hidden Temple, greenlighting a Rocko’s Modern Life TV special is another strong example of how we are bringing our library content back for both new audiences and the generation that grew up on them in the ‘90s,” Chris Viscardi, senior vice president of content development at Nickelodeon Franchise Properties, said in a statement when the Rocko movie was announced. “It’s a testament to the strength and appeal of these characters that so many people have loved Nick animation for these last 25 years, and we are excited to bring them back for new stories and adventures.”
